Laguitos is a San Francisco native, born and raised in the heart of the Mission District. A proud brown, queer Chicana woman, she brings her powerful voice and lived experience to every space she steps into — unapologetically.

From humble beginnings, Laguitos always believed in choosing her own direction, trusting that she would end up exactly where she was meant to be. With relentless drive and self-taught resilience, she carved her own path to success — becoming a professional in the IT world at just 17 years old. No handouts. No shortcuts. Just hustle, vision, and belief in her own worth.

Navigating the corporate world as a tattooed, brown Latina hasn’t been easy. She’s faced systemic barriers, political dynamics, and the weight of countless expectations. But none of that has stopped her. If anything, it’s fueled her drive to break every mold built to contain her.

She never forgets where she came from — the Mission District shaped her, and she carries that with her in every space she walks into. Whether it’s mentoring others, speaking up in rooms where voices like hers are rare, or simply living her truth out loud, Laguitos continues to advocate for those still fighting to be seen. Where she can, when she can, she speaks for those who aren’t always given a voice.

Her story isn’t just one of resilience — it’s one of faith. Laguitos has endured near-death experiences and life-altering challenges, but with the protection of God and the fire in her spirit, she continues to rise. Her mission is to share what she’s learned, honor what she’s survived, and speak life into those still finding their way.

In 2021, during one of the hardest chapters of her life — newly diagnosed with seizures and healing from a painful breakup — she created RTLReasonsToLive. What started as a personal outlet quickly became a powerful platform: a space for raw truth, emotional healing, and stories that matter.

RTL became her way of turning pain into purpose.

Since then, Laguitos has grown. She’s loved. She’s learned (not failed). And through every moment, she’s led with resilience, humor, and heart.

Her passion is helping others feel seen, loved, and strong enough to keep going.
